Welcome everyone. Halloween is the season for scary stories. One that I remember from my childhood concerns the creature in the picture to the right. The saying went that if you heard an owl hooting outside your bedroom window that someone, maybe you, would die soon. To insure your safety, you needed to tie a knot in the corner of your sheet. Of course, its just a silly superstition.
Read the blog to learn about another superstition that terrified me. It concerns another creature popular at Halloween, the spider. But, don't forget that you can copy the pictures from my book and decorate them. Color them, frame them, hang your artwork on your bedroom wall.

"all her joy had flown from her like one of her beloved birds. Mom always bragged on how bubbly a personality Cassie had. Well, the bubbles had floated away and burst in the cold breeze, to land on the frost which covered the ground."
