It's Raining Snakes

Rain, rain, go away. So much rain fell on South Carolina here lately that we fancied that we must know how Noah must have felt. Did you know that most cultures have things that they do to make it rain. I'm sure they were not getting as much rain as the soggy South this past winter. I'm sure you have heard about how Indians do a rain dance to bring the wet sunshine in times of drought. In China they have what they call a cat parade. When I was a child, my grandfather believed that if you hung a dead snake on the fence that it would rain. But, please don't try that at home, kids. Personally, I try not to kill any snake. God created all creatures for a purpose. Just stay away from the poisonous ones. Some snakes are not poisonous. And there is advantages to having them around. For one thing, black snakes help keep down the rat population. I believe in the old adage of 'live and let live'.

hanging a snake on a fence was said to bring rain. But since I would never kill a black snake, this is my rendition of a snake.
